I was very pleased this week to find that one of my illustrations was a winning entry in Communication Arts Illustration competition 2015!
The illustration was originally created for Wine Republic magazine, Argentina, and covered the topic of pop-up restaurants in Mendoza. And now it shall also grace the pages of this highly recognised journal!
Communication Arts is a professional journal for designers, art directors, design firms, corporate design departments, agencies, illustrators, photographers and everyone involved in visual communications. Through its editorials, feature articles and the annual competitions it sponsors, CA provides new ideas and information, while promoting the highest professional standards for the field. For over 56 years, CA continues to showcase the current best—whether it’s from industry veterans or tomorrow’s stars—in design, advertising, photography, illustration, interactive and typography.
Of the 4,313 entries to the 56th Illustration Annual, only 163 were accepted, representing the work of 123 artists, making the Illustration Annual the most exclusive major illustration competition in the world.
Very excited about my inclusion in the annual, and even more excited about seeing it in the flesh when it comes out in May!
