One week, four shows

Easter is over and with it I’ve found myself in the lucky position of taking part in four exhibitions, in four cities, in one week.

The first one which will have the above illustration in it, is my first show outside Europe, all the way down under in the sunny city of Brisbane. ‘UNPAID INTERNS’, is an art show dedicated to the films of American writer and director Wes Anderson. The exhibition will showcase a selection of work from local and international artists, illustrators and graphic designers from over 10 different countries, each presenting limited edition work. I was delighted to be asked by  NOFUN gallery to take  part in their first show of 2015. UNPAID INTERNS will officially open at 7:00pm on Friday April 10, at Junky Comics, 93 Vulture Street, West End, Brisbane.

The second exhibition is Showcase100 in good old London town.

Organised by the great people at Hire an Illustrator and The Little Chimp society, Showcase 100 is a juried exhibition and publication of 100 illustrations from some of the best professional illustrators working in the industry today. The project strives to showcase a wide variety of artworks that represent the trends and quirks of the creative market during the year leading up to the exhibition. It will encompass illustrations created for all markets, in any country, and by artists who may be 30 year veterans of the industry or just starting out in their careers. I’m delighted to have my ‘Giselle’ piece included in this top 100!

The Showcase 100 exhibition will be held from 7th – 11th April 2015 at The Framer’s Gallery in central London. For more info, click here.

And last but not least is this recent illustration that I previously posted about:

This ‘cover bomb’ is going to be included in an Exhibition of customised album covers to celebrate Record Store Day. 70 + artists “embellishing ” their favourite albums. “Cover Bombing” will run from 10th April until 19th April in two cites, Bristol and Nottingham. Opening night is on Friday 10th April with bands and DJs. The show is organised by Jacknife prints, fine purveyors of rock posters, and will take place in Rise Record store in Bristol, and The Rough Trade record store in Nottingham. more detail can be found here.

I’m very pleased to be taking part in these shows, and grateful to all the organisers for inviting me to participate. I can only make it to the London and Bristol shows, but if you get the chance, then please swing along to one near you!
